Manager, People & Culture

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Manager, People & Culture to join our team as a strategic HR Business Partner and operational leader. This is a highly visible, high-impact role that sits at the intersection of people strategy and day-to-day execution, supporting our leaders, developing our HR team, and helping build a great place to work.

What You'll Do

Be a Trusted HR Business Partner
  • Serve as the dedicated HRBP for assigned business functions, partnering closely with leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, and change management
  • Coach and advise managers through complex employee situations, performance challenges, and team effectiveness
  • Facilitate talent reviews, succession planning discussions, and leadership development conversations

Lead Employee Relations & Ensure Compliance
  • Own complex employee relations matters from investigation through resolution, including PIPs, corrective actions, and separations
  • Manage ADA accommodations, leave administration, and ensure consistent application of employment law across the organization
  • Partner with Legal on sensitive matters and serve as the subject matter expert on HR compliance

Develop & Lead the HR Team
  • Directly lead, coach, and develop HR Generalists and assigned People & Culture team members
  • Build team capability through goal-setting, performance conversations, cross-training, and professional development
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused team environment

Own Benefits, Retirement & Vendor Relationships
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for our benefits broker (USI) and 401(k) recordkeeper, driving open enrollment, plan performance reviews, and strategic planning
  • Coordinate the annual 401(k) audit in partnership with Finance and external auditors
  • Manage relationships with carriers, EAP providers, leave administrators, and wellness vendors; lead quarterly business reviews
  • Recommend enhancements to our benefits and retirement programs that improve the employee experience

Drive Talent Management & HR Operations
  • Lead the annual performance management cycle including mid-year and year-end reviews, goal alignment, and calibration
  • Oversee employee lifecycle administration, onboarding, promotions, transfers, offboarding - and ensure HRIS data integrity
  • Support payroll coordination, benefits administration, and ongoing HR process improvement

Use Data to Tell the Story
  • Analyze workforce metrics and develop executive dashboards that inform leadership decisions
  • Monitor turnover, engagement, and staffing trends; support headcount planning and budgeting

Build Culture & Lead Projects
  • Champion employee recognition, wellness, and engagement initiatives that reinforce our culture
  • Lead strategic People & Culture projects including HR technology enhancements and M&A integration support


What We're Looking For

Experience
  • 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years as an HR Business Partner supporting business leaders
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations
  • Background in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or multi-site operations environments strongly preferred
  • Experience managing benefits administration, open enrollment, and broker relationships
  • Experience with HRIS systems, ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Multi-site, M&A/integration, or HR analytics experience a plus


Education & Credentials
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field required; Master's preferred
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or PHR certification preferred


Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA) and benefits compliance (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA)
  • Skilled at executive communication, leadership coaching, and influencing without authority
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate workforce data into actionable recommendations
  • Strong people leadership skills, you know how to develop talent, build trust, and create accountability
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and navigating organizational change

Compensation & Details
  • Salary Range, commensurate with experience
  • Location: Canton, GA, this is a hybrid on-site role with 20-30% travel to Olive Branch and other locations
  • Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
