Full Job Description
Make an impact as we continue to grow our Digital Solutions practice, with the addition of a Manager, Payroll Solutions to lead payroll and human capital management (HCM) consulting engagements, oversee implementation teams, and help clients maximize the value of their technology investments. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team of consultants, technologists, and business advisors who are passionate about delivering exceptional client outcomes. You will play a leadership role in project delivery, client relationship management, team development, and business growth while helping organizations modernize their payroll and workforce management capabilities.

What you will do

Client Delivery & Consulting Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end implementations of Payroll and Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions for clients across various industries.
  • Provide strategic guidance on payroll transformation initiatives, workforce management processes, and HCM modernization programs.
  • Lead current-state assessments, future-state design, business process reviews, and solution recommendations.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and stakeholder interviews.
  • Guide clients through process redesign activities to improve efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.
  • Support data migration, validation, testing, and go-live planning activities.
  • Configure payroll and workforce management solutions to meet client operational and compliance requirements.
  • Advise clients on solution adoption, optimization opportunities, and leading practices.


Project & Financial Management

  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop project plans, resource requirements, timelines, and implementation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage engagement financials, including budgets, work in progress (WIP), billing, collections, and profitability targets.
  • Ensure high-quality project delivery through effective governance and quality assurance processes.
  • Communicate project status, key milestones, risks, and recommendations to client stakeholders and internal leadership teams.


Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor consultants and senior consultants across implementation and advisory engagements.
  • Review project deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support to team members.
  • Foster collaboration across Digital Solutions, ERP, and broader MNP service lines.
  • Support resource planning and capacity management within the practice.


Business Development & Practice Growth

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities to expand relationships and introduce additional MNP services.
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposals, presentations, demonstrations, and client meetings.
  • Support the growth of MNP Digital by contributing to thought leadership, solution development, and practice initiatives.
  • Represent MNP within the business community through networking events, industry associations, conferences, and speaking engagements.
  • Contribute to marketing activities through presentations, workshops, webinars, and articles.


What you will bring

Experience

  • 7+ years of consulting, implementation, or advisory experience delivering Payroll and Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions.
  • Experience leading complex software implementation projects in a client-facing consulting environment.
  • Proven experience managing project scope, stakeholder expectations, budgets, and engagement profitability.
  • Strong background in payroll operations, workforce management, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and developing solution recommendations.
  • Demonstrated success leading project teams and mentoring developing consultants.


Technical Knowledge

  • Experience implementing and supporting payroll and HCM platforms.
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance requirements, and workforce management leading practices.
  • Experience with enterprise business management solutions such as:
    • ADP Workforce Now
    • Sylogist Payroll
    • Ceridian Dayforce
    • Microsoft Dynamics Business Central


Education & Certifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Business, Human Resources, Payroll, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation preferred.
  • Relevant project management, payroll, HR, or technology certifications are considered an asset.
  • Accounting designation or related business designation is considered an asset.

This is a current opportunity with an ideal hiring range of between $115,000 and $130,000 depending on skills and experience.
