About the Job:
We are actively hiring a Manager, Patient Recruitment to support our Bowie, MD site.
Shift: Monday-Friday day shift (40 hours per week)
Location: Onsite,Bowie, Maryland
FLSA Classification: Exempt
PURPOSE: This role manages the Recruitment Specialists and helps stratify the time and effort spent on recruiting research subjects to participate in research studies. The Recruitment Manager helps develop the screening and outreach materials used for active clinical trials. This role helps to develop, instruct, and implement recruitment strategies with the recruitment team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
A. Create and maintain study specific pre-screening forms to be used by the Recruitment staff when interviewing potential research subjects.
B. Create and maintain quick reference study summaries of protocol for physicians, update as new protocols/amendments become available.
C. Enter data into the CRS software to manage the database, track potential leads, and applicable follow-up.
D. Lead team huddles to share information and educate on new studies.
E. Create and revise productivity tracking tool for individual and team recruitment goals and randomizations, tracking weekly and monthly on production spreadsheets.
F. Maintain 3rd party central advertising portals with most current information and communicate with vendors.
G. Interview potential research candidates and schedule screening visits if the candidate qualifies.
H. Communicate with Research Coordinators, Principal Investigators, and Sub-Investigators regarding potential research candidates.
I. Request and retrieve medical records of potential research candidates and complete data entry.
J. Create and maintain referral trackers.
K. Serve as team liaison for the recruitment department.
L. Distribute calls lists, referrals, and portal candidates to callers.
M. Update prescreening logs as needed.
N. Recruitment team hires - Assist with interviews and initial and ongoing training.
O. Assist with advertising needs and outreach (local, central and within the Flourish network).
P. Assist with scheduling physician, office staff, and community outreach lunches, and trainings.
Q. Attend SIVs and study training events.
R. Consult with and educate physicians and their staff on current and upcoming studies.
S. Represent Flourish Research in a professional and courteous manner (verbal, written and in appearance) when interacting with all staff, clients, and vendors.
T. Additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
A. Work is performed in the office, on-site.
B. Travel may be required up to 50%.
C. Daily computer use.
D. Ability to properly lift thirty-five pounds and occasionally more than thirty-five pounds.
E. Ability to drive and daily availability of an automobile.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma, or equivalence. College degree preferred; however, is not required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in patient recruitment within a clinical research site environment, and a minimum of 3+ years' experience managing patient recruitment teams.
