Summary: The Outsourcing Contract Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the outsourcing contract management function. This role leads contract efforts from signing through vendor transition to operational state, ensuring optimal vendor delivery, service quality, and pricing. The manager establishes necessary metrics, processes, and procedures to oversee vendor performance and manages vendor penalties/incentives when performance criteria are not met or exceeded.
Responsibilities:- Lead contract management from signing through vendor transition and operational state.
- Establish metrics, processes, and procedures for vendor performance management.
- Monitor vendor contracts to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
- Define and manage vendor penalties and incentives based on performance criteria.
- Interpret contracts for the enterprise and set vendor directions and priorities.
- Create, negotiate, and incorporate contract amendments.
- Renegotiate contracts as needed for scope changes or new business requirements.
- Review vendor proposals and negotiate pricing and terms.
- Ensure accuracy of vendor invoices and manage enterprise outsourcing budget.
- Serve as the first point of negotiation for vendor disputes.
- Manage complexity based on deal size, scope, and responsibility for contracts.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or contract management, including team management, with a focus on IT.
- Middle management experience, with capability to mentor supervisors, project leads, and technical staff.
- Experience supporting multiple contracts or complex enterprise agreements.
- Ability to work under the direction of senior management and report to executive positions such as CTO, IT COO, CIO, CFO, or Chief Sourcing Officer.
