Full Job Description
CAE's Montreal manufacturing center is unique and complex. Its operations enable CAE to manufacture, assemble, and integrate the highest-performing simulators on the market. The extensive portfolio of simulation products and the large number of airlines served bring a constant stream of challenges to be solved day after day. The demands are varied, and only one energetic and creative team can meet them: the Operations Support team. Through its expertise and significant involvement in operations, the team is also called upon to influence new engineering designs.

The Manager - operations support is the orchestrator of this service offering. He or she is responsible for managing a specialized team consisting of Operations Project Managers, Electrical Process Engineers, and Mechanical Process Engineers who He or she must ensure that the necessary resources are provided and follow up with clients in operations to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently. He or she must implement improvements to support processes and monitor service efficiency metrics. He or she must provide exceptional customer service and be a positive and influential leader.

Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor, and supervise the operations support team: plan, organize, and manage the department to guide the team toward the best possible results. Serve as a coach for the team.
• Represent the manufacturing engineering team for all escalations related to operations.
• Define, develop, and implement the vision for the operations support department.
• Oversee the operations of the Operations Support Team to ensure compliance with our service mandate commitments.
• Establish, develop, and adhere to budgets related to operations support activities.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and implement and lead these changes throughout the organization.
• Serve as a technical expert to guide the team in resolving complex problems and manage risks related to project management.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (or college diploma) in mechanical, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing or supervising a maintenance team.
• Excellent hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Office and Power BI applications.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual (French and English) in both spoken and written forms.
