This role is responsible for driving operational excellence through disciplined production planning, workforce deployment, cross-functional coordination, performance management, and continuous improvement. The Operations Manager partners closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and site leadership to remove barriers, improve turnaround time and throughput, strengthen quality performance, and deliver against business-unit financial and operational objectives.

What you'll do:
  • Direct production planning and scheduling based on sales demand, inventory levels, material availability, and production capacity.
  • Plan daily operations by assigning manpower, authorizing overtime, and managing labor and operating costs.
  • Monitor production performance, yields, and delivery schedules, making adjustments to ensure on-time customer deliveries.
  • Coordinate with production, supply chain, engineering, sales, and customer service to achieve operational goals and production standards.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives that support strategic business objectives.
  • Perform capacity planning for equipment, floor space, and staffing requirements to meet forecasted workloads.
  • Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics while managing capital expenditures and departmental budgets.
  • Lead all people management activities, including hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations, employee development, compensation, discipline, and employee relations.
  • Oversee administrative and operational functions, including safety, budget administration, workforce planning, and achievement of organizational goals.
  • Participate in business unit leadership initiatives, manage special projects, and provide hands-on production support when operational needs require it.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in aviation MRO, aerospace manufacturing, or a similarly regulated production environment. Fuel accessories experience required.
  • +3 years of direct leadership experience overseeing production, repair, manufacturing, or shop-floor operations.
  • At least one year of experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Desired Skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading daily production operations, including labor planning, manpower allocation, scheduling, capacity planning, overtime management, and cost control.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing or aviation MRO operations, including ERP systems, production planning, and repair processes.
  • Experience managing multiple production cells, shops, shifts, or product lines within an aviation MRO environment.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, solve operational challenges, and improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Significant technical or operational experience with gas turbine fuel accessories, fuel controls, fuel systems, power generation, pneumatic systems, or related aircraft accessory repairs.
  • Working knowledge of FAA quality system requirements, technical procedures, export compliance, safety standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience using operational metrics, visual management tools, and Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles to improve turnaround time, throughput, labor utilization, and overall performance.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, project management, and communication skills, with experience in capital planning, facility expansion, and aviation certifications such as an A&P or FAA Part 65 Repairman Certificate preferred.
