Full Job Description

The Manager, Operations Communications is the primary link between the Venue Support Center and Topgolf venues, ensuring venue leadership receives timely, accurate, and actionable information to execute the business with excellence. This role owns operational communications strategy and execution, supports operations programs, rollouts, and special initiatives, and serves as a trusted cross-functional partner across the organization.

The ideal candidate has a strong operational foundation, understands venue execution realities, and can translate complex initiatives into clear communication that drives consistent execution across all venues.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Key Responsibilities

Communications Strategy & Content

  • Own the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of venue-facing operational communications, documentation, process guides, and FAQs, maintaining consistent messaging across all channels.

Program & Initiative Support

  • Support operations programs, rollouts, and special initiatives, ensuring venues have the tools, information, and timelines needed for successful launches.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Issue Resolution

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships (Technology, Operations, Finance, Marketing, F&B, Memberships, Events, Leadership Development/Culture, and other VSC teams), acting as the operational liaison to venue leadership and applying critical thinking and troubleshooting to resolve issues before they impact venues.
  • Serve as a primary resource for venue leadership, coordinating with subject matter experts and continuously improving communication effectiveness.

Calendar & Meeting Coordination

  • Own and maintain the Operations Master Calendar, coordinating timelines and identifying conflicts or risks across promotions, programming, technology releases, and company initiatives.
  • Lead planning, coordination, and follow-up for recurring Venue Leadership calls, including agendas, materials, and action items.

Process, Systems & AI

  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline communication workflows and improve documentation quality.

  • Owns and maintains the Operations Master Calendar so it stays current and aligned across departments.
  • Ensures cross-functional initiatives and operations rollouts launch with clear readiness and minimal gaps.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of Topgolf operational leadership experience with strong understanding of venue operations and business rhythms
  • Proven success leading within a Topgolf venue environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience with SOPs, playbooks, and job aids
  • Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of Topgolf operational systems: PIE, Topgolf App, Topgolf.com, Hestia
  • Working knowledge of Namify, Smartsheets, AWS Reporting, Coupa, and Crunchtime
  • Proficiency with Toast, The Huddle, SharePoint, Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and Office tools
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide operational initiatives, technology rollouts, and marketing/promotional launches
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and documentation
