Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Manager of Quality Programs. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the development and management of our quality improvement/quality assurance programs.

As the Manager of Quality Programs, you will play a vital role in driving strategic planning, providing leadership, and ensuring operational oversight for our quality initiatives. Your expertise and vision will be instrumental in the development, implementation, monitoring, and client relationship management related to quality standards. With a strong focus on the company's goals, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality improvement initiatives. Your proactive approach and commitment to excellence will ensure our continuous improvement and compliance with industry-leading practices.

Additionally, as part of your role, you will have the responsibility of contributing to the development of content for proposals. Your valuable input will help shape the direction and quality of our proposals, as you review drafts and provide final approval for their content. Your ability to effectively communicate quality improvement strategies will enhance our ability to secure new business opportunities.

The Illinois Tailored Care Management Program helps individuals with complex health and social needs transition from nursing facilities and Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facilities (SMHRFs) to community-based living. Through person-centered care management and coordinated support services, the program empowers members to live more independently and thrive in their communities.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage operations necessary to successfully deliver and ensure contract and/or accreditation requirements are met.
  • Ensure the operational unit can meet the current and future needs of clients and markets.
  • Plan, develop, execute, and direct assigned quality improvement programs, projects, and/or contracts.
  • Assist with planning all quality-related aspects of assigned contracts and promote vertical and horizontal integration of tasks.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion with development and execution.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables, within the contract budget, resulting in client satisfaction.
  • Serve as a quality liaison between clients and Telligen, providing timely resolution to issues.
  • Assist in developing and training on quality deliverables and metrics.
  • Ensure data is maintained accurately and in a confidential environment.
  • Coach, guide, and direct team members to achieve individual, team, and organizational quality objectives.
  • Ensure accountability through oversight, performance measurement, and performance feedback.
  • Fulfill the Telligen Management Philosophy that "Managers coach, engage, and support our people to achieve results."
  • Prepare estimates and budgets for assigned projects or contracts.
  • Ensure performance is conducted cost-effectively by collaborating with contract managers to monitor financials.
  • Represent the Company or business unit at meetings, as assigned.
  • Can make presentations with a professional and knowledgeable image.
  • Research business opportunities and provides subject matter expertise, as well as work with leaders at all levels throughout the company to ensure the success of the program and compliance with all contractual obligations.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Four-year degree in health care, management, nursing, public health, or related field and/or equivalent training and/or experience
  • Minimum of 3 years managing projects/programs
  • Medicaid quality experience required
  • NCQA experience required
  • Must be able to succeed in a collaborative, matrix environment


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse license preferred
  • Experience managing professional staff in a healthcare quality program
