The Manager of Perioperative Services will have dual responsibilties for both Dallas Medical Center and Dallas Regional Medical Center.

As an OR Nurse Manager for outpatient surgery procedures, you will oversee all aspects of patient care, resource management, and operational efficiency to ensure safe and effective outcomes for patients undergoing surgical interventions. This is a complex role thatwill involvecoordination, supervision, and clinical oversight.

• Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing levels foroutpatientprocedures in the Operating Room (OR), which mayinvolve creating schedules, assigningstaff, and coordinatingwith other departments to meet patient needs whileoptimizingefficiency

• Manage resources within the OR, includingmedicalequipment, supplies, and medicationsrequiredforoutpatientprocedures, includingthat all necessary materials are available and in good working condition

• Supervise patient care coordination throughoutoutpatient surgeryprocedures, ensurepatients are adequately prepared, coordinatewith anesthesia providers, and oversee post-procedure care and recovery

• Ensure that alloutpatientproceduresin the OR meet regulatory and quality standards, whichinvolvesadherence to infection control protocols, patient safety measures, and compliance with relevant policies and procedures

• Provide clinical supervision and support toOperating Roomstaff, including circulating nurses, scrub nurses, surgical technologists, and other support personnel, youmay alsoprovide guidance on patient care issues,assistwith complex cases, andfacilitatestaff training and development

• Ensureeffective teamwork and coordination,facilitatecommunication among surgical team members, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals involved inoutpatientproceduresand throughout the perioperative process

• Event of emergencies or complications duringoutpatientprocedures, the RNORManagerwillprovide leadership and direction to the surgical team, coordinateefforts to ensure prompt and appropriate patient care

• Consult with staff, physicians, and nurse executives on nursing issues and hospital policy interpretation to meet patient needs, while also overseeing performance improvementand quality improvementactivities and contributing to departmental budget formulation

• Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required
• CNOR; preferred.
• Current ACLS (AHA) Certification upon hire and maintain current
• At least two (2) years of experience in Surgical Nursing.
