Manager of Learning

The Manager of Learning drives the strategic direction of the Training and Development function, with direction from the Sr. Manager of Learning. The Manager of Learning is responsible for leading a team of designers, facilitators/consultants, and/or associates to conceptualize, plan, design, and facilitate a wide range of specialized training. Scope of training accountabilities includes leadership development programs, communication and professional development, learning technologies, safety and harassment compliance programs, and HQ functional Training and onboarding.
Essential Functions
  • Defines the strategic goals of Training and Development by establishing training as a critical component in accomplishing business goals, with direction from the Sr. Manager of Training
  • Directs the needs analysis, design, planning, delivery and ongoing evaluation of a wide variety of learning initiatives and training programs
  • Directs the facilitation of learning programs
  • Seeks out data to consistently evaluate organizational gaps and training opportunities
  • Partners with executives, HR Business partners, and stakeholders to align on/adjust learning and development strategy
  • Builds organizational awareness of training programs/training program value
  • Drives communication regarding training strategy and programs across the organization
  • Establishes and tracks Key Performance Indicators, measuring the effectiveness of training programs and using data to drive program improvements
  • Uses data-driven insights to drive the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of learning initiatives across Niagara
  • Leads a team of instructional designers, associates, and/or facilitators/consultants
  • Provides team direction on the training development process from needs assessment to evaluation
  • Builds team capability and guides process improvement to drive increased team performance and value to the business while reducing costs/burden
  • Partners with the HRIS team to implement and manage the Learning Management System
  • Identifies opportunities for administrative automation and process improvement through the LMS
  • Leads online learning strategy and content procurement
  • Negotiates vendor contracts and oversees relationships with vendors
  • Ensures organizational scalability of training initiatives through development and execution of train the trainer programs
  • Successfully meets commitments and supports change while working independently and staying focused on deadlines
  • Assist as needed in training delivery and facilitation
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 25% (domestic/international)

Pay Rate Type: Salary

$123,641.54 - $176,189.21 / Yearly

Bonus Target: 10% Annual
