Full Job Description
The Manager of Epic Applications leads and coaches the team responsible for the maintenance of the Epic system and reporting. This position helps guide workflow design, building, testing the system and analyzing other technical issues associated with Epic software and oversees and coordinates the triage of analytics needs and corresponding build. The Manager of Epic Applications establishes and enforces processes, including request, triage, prioritization, testing, publishing and validating data requests. This position also requires collaboration with operational business stakeholders and the ability to manage multiple priorities and transition quickly between projects and issues.

Location: Candidates must reside in the state of Wisconsin for consideration. This position is eligible to work at your home office (reliable internet is required), at our office in Brookfield or Menasha, or a combination of both in our hybrid workplace model. Travel to Menasha required occasionally for the position.

Hours: 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, on-call support after hours as needed

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead assigned Epic department employees and contractors, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating performance, disciplining, and terminating.
  • Define and delegate work responsibilities with clear, consistent expectations and outcomes. Challenge and motivate associates by providing clear performance goals and opportunities for personal and professional development
  • Monitor department operations against performance goals and implement process improvements as required
  • Perform ongoing assessment of staffing levels and the skill sets necessary to successfully accomplish project goals
  • Oversee and coordinate the triage of analytics needs and corresponding build
  • Establish and enforce processes, including request, triage, prioritization, testing, publishing and validating data requests
  • Guide workflow design, building, testing the system, and analyzing other technical issues associated with Epic software
  • Ensure the stability, reliability and performance of the assigned applications by having an understanding of the applications, operational workflows integration points and technical components
  • Organize and complete projects and tasks on time, according to prioritization
  • Timely response to business needs as defined by the business owner
  • Perform a thorough review of all Foundation Build and operational requested content and workflows for application
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline required
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 2+ years of leadership, coaching, and development experience required
  • 1+ years relevant experience with Epic
  • Healthcare or health insurance background required
  • Current certification in appropriate modules, as required:
    • Tapestry Eligibility and Enrollment
    • Tapestry UM or A&G
    • Compass Rose/Healthy Planet
    • Cogito
    • or other relevant Epic certifications
