Full Job Description
Primary responsibilities

  1. Provide strategic and operational leadership for the College's enterprise application portfolio, including the ERP/SIS and related administrative and student systems.
  2. Develop and maintain application roadmaps and recommend opportunities for modernization, consolidation, replacement, integration, and improved system utilization.
  3. Partner with academic and administrative departments to analyze business processes, gather requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement technology-enabled solutions.
  4. Oversee application configuration, upgrades, testing, releases, change management, documentation, and system lifecycle planning.
  5. Provide leadership and oversight for APIs, secure file transfers, data feeds, workflow automation, and other system integrations.
  6. Establish, implement, and support data governance standards related to data ownership, definitions, quality, access, reporting, security, and appropriate use.
  7. Support enterprise reporting, dashboards, analytics platforms, and data-quality initiatives by ensuring reliable systems, integrations, access, and technical reporting infrastructure in collaboration with Institutional Effectiveness and functional data owners.
  8. Coordinate application security, role-based access, single sign-on (SSO), user provisioning, and related compliance requirements in collaboration with IT Security.
  9. Lead major enterprise software implementations and coordinate projects across Technology Services, functional departments, consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  10. Manage key application vendor relationships, including licensing, renewals, contracts, performance, support, and technical requirements.
  11. Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to systems analysis, integration/development, data, and reporting staff.
  12. Provide direction, leadership, and guidance to System Analysts and other assigned staff.
  13. Maintain comprehensive documentation of applications, integrations, data flows, system ownership, procedures, configurations, and critical system dependencies.
  14. Manage and provide oversight for Prophix and Informer business intelligence, financial planning, reporting, and data analytics platforms.
  15. Lead and promote continuous improvement, modernization, automation, data quality, effective system utilization, and technology-enabled operational efficiencies across the College.
  16. Evaluate existing systems and processes and recommend enhancements, integrations, or new technologies that improve service delivery, operational efficiency, data integrity, and institutional effectiveness.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.


Risk-management and loss-prevention activities

  1. Maintain a working knowledge of the college's emergency procedures and actively participate in the college risk-management program.
  2. Monitor conditions, events and circumstances that present risk to the college community. Intervene and/or report as specified in the college's risk-management plan.


Minimum necessary education, skills and experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Five years of progressively responsible experience with enterprise applications, ERP/SIS platforms, systems analysis, integrations, reporting, or related technologies.
  3. Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering, business process improvement, application implementation, project management, and vendor management.
  4. Working knowledge of databases, reporting tools, APIs, integrations, enterprise data, and related technologies.
  5. Strong communication, project management, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, manage projects, prioritize competing initiatives, and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  7. Demonstrated ability to supervise, develop, and provide direction to technical and/or professional staff.
  8. Higher education or community college technology experience preferred.
  9. Experience with Ellucian Colleague or a comparable higher education ERP/SIS preferred.
  10. Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, SQL, APIs, cloud applications, data governance, analytics, and workflow automation preferred.
  11. Experience with Prophix, Informer, or other business intelligence and data analytics platforms preferred.
  12. Spanish or French proficiency preferred.


Physical requirements to perform job functions

  1. Basic dexterity skills (computer work, telephoning, and other office equipment).
  2. General physical effort required includes sitting, bending, reaching, and some lifting (50 lbs. or less) and the ability to place a work order for anything over that limit.
  3. The ability to communicate successfully with clients of all ages, socio-economic status, sex or race.
  4. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
