Manager of Clinic Administrative Operations

Village Health Center

The Position

As the Manager of Clinic Administrative Operations, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the systems and teams that support the Village Health Center's delivery of accessible, high-quality healthcare. You will oversee key operational functions including patient access, scheduling, referrals, medical records, credentialing, quality improvement, EHR support, and reporting.

This role offers the opportunity to strengthen healthcare operations, develop high-performing teams, improve processes, and partner with clinical and administrative leaders to advance the patient experience and organizational goals.

Your Role in Leading Health Center Operations
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for Health Center support functions, including patient access, scheduling, referrals, registration, medical records, credentialing, quality improvement, EHR support, and related services.
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and administrative teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Evaluate and improve workflows, systems, and processes to enhance operational efficiency, patient access, andthe overallcare experience.
  • Use data and performance metrics toidentifyopportunities, implement improvements, and strengthen operational outcomes.
  • Ensure operations align with FQHC and HRSA requirements, HIPAA standards, payer expectations, organizational policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Partner with clinical leaders, Compliance, Revenue Cycle, and other stakeholders to support quality initiatives, audits,accreditationreadiness, and operational improvements.
  • Lead projects, change initiatives, and cross-functional efforts that improve systems, processes, and service delivery.
  • Support operational planning, staffing strategies, budgeting, and resource management to ensure effective support of patient care.


Desirable Candidate Profile

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible healthcare operations or administrative leadership experience, including at least three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience leading healthcare operations, developing teams, improving processes, managing projects, and achieving performance goals.
  • Experience applying healthcare regulations, payer requirements, compliance standards, and quality improvement practices.
  • Experience supporting electronic health record systems, reporting, and data-informed operational improvement initiatives.

Key Competencies and Experience
  • Knowledge of ambulatory healthcare operations, patient access workflows, administrative systems, compliance requirements, and quality improvement practices.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to build accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.
  • Ability to analyze data,identifyimprovement opportunities, manage competing priorities, and successfully leadchange.
  • Strong communicationand collaboration skills with the ability to build effective partnerships across clinical, administrative, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiencywith electronic health records, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bilingual Spanish communication skills preferred.


Work Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with standard office hours. Occasional flexibility may be required for meetings, trainings, operational needs, or organizational initiatives. Work is primarily office-based at the Village Health Center, with regular collaboration across clinical and administrative operations.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay for this position is based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $90,000 to $108,000 per year.
