CompensationJob SummaryThe Manager of Business Intelligence and Data Governance will report directly to the Director of Data Enablement. This role will be responsible for managing BI tools that are being employed in the Analytics department for the intent of delivering data from the Snowflake data warehouse to the business. This will include assisting with report building and user training. When possible, this role will include hiring, managing and mentoring a small team of BI developers. This team will be responsible for helping to build and troubleshoot reports for BI users throughout the company.
This role will also be responsible for managing data governance and ensuring data integrity by leading data management efforts such as creation, implementation, and development of a company wide data glossary. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: overseeing initiatives for improving processes, performing quality assurance testing, and monitoring the location and security of customer Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
Job DescriptionEssential Duties & Responsibilities:- Administer BI tools used to create reports
- Provide expert guidance in the BI space for the Analytics team as well as business stakeholders throughout Purple
- Assist with reporting building and troubleshooting
- Hire, train and mentor new team members for BI development and data governance
- Work closely with Business Stakeholders to gather data requirements and data definitions
- Work closely with department counterparts in Data Engineering
- Monitor the Location and Security of Customer PII
Required Skills, Education, Experience: - Experience with report building in Sigma and Looker
- SaaS administration for BI and Data Governance tools
- Experience building SQL in the Snowflake UI
- Team Management and Leadership
- Data Governance, implementation of processes and systems
- Data requirements gathering
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in relevant field
