OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Nursing, Allied and Associated Programs, the Manager, Nursing Sourcing and Intake demonstrates competencies in the areas of partner relations, recruitment, program delivery and reporting, communications, team leadership, and complex problem solving. The Manager plays a leadership role within Health Match BC and works alongside our provincial recruitment partners in the development and implementation of international sourcing activities.
The Manager establishes and maintains relationships with, and between, key partners, including government, health authorities, regulatory bodies, professional associations and community partners. In consultation with the Executive Director, develops and executes annual, monthly, and daily work plans for Health Match BC nursing staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversees Health Match BC's nursing recruitment activities relating to sourcing, candidate engagement, intake and triage processes, and reporting.
- Works closely with the Manager, Nursing Immigration and Employment Services and Manager, Nursing Navigation and Bursary to provide a high-quality candidate experience and manage overall nursing pipeline.
- Works closely with Health Authority Recruitment Managers to gather vacancy data and translate it into strategic input for sourcing and work plans.
- Creates the annual sourcing plan according to system priorities and works closely with the marketing team to plan and execute sourcing activities.
- Leads a team of employees, motivating them towards the attainment of the goals, objectives and vision of Health Match BC, the HR Services and Strategy Department, and HEABC.
- Manages complex projects, including establishing work plans, project timelines, and capacity planning. Resolves complex issues without direct supervision, providing leadership to Health Match BC staff when necessary and to external partners when required to address emerging challenges and opportunities.
- Develops trusted advisory relationships with key partners including health authority representatives, regulatory bodies, educational institutions, professional associations, unions, federal agencies and sourced candidates.
- Participates on provincial committees and working groups related to nursing recruitment and retention.
Required Experience:
University degree in human resources, business administration, life sciences or a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years' recent experience in the health care sector, providing expertise in recruitment strategies, process improvement, and project management with a minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in a leadership role; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated: customer service skills; ability to provide strategic consultative advice; problem-solving skills and ability to facilitate resolutions within unclear guidelines and established frameworks; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously; ability to make formal presentations; communication skills (verbal and written); and computer software/hardware skills.
- Knowledge of process improvement strategies, such as Lean Six Sigma, considered an asset.
- Strong project management and data analysis skills required.

Salary Range: $90,770 to $119,135
Typical Hiring Range: $90,770 to $113,462
In determining salary, HEABC considers many factors including the successful candidate's skillset and experience as well as internal equity. The final salary offer will be at HEABC's sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
