Job DescriptionPlans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s). Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum. Minimal supervision required.
Required Qualifications:- Coursework/Training: Meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
- Upon hire: Texas Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 3 years Professional nursing experience.
- 2 years Clinical experience in specific clinical area.
Preferred Qualifications:- Coursework/Training: Nursing Leadership and/or leadership certification.
- Master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Admin., Business or related field.
- Upon hire: Specialty certification related to practice
- Upon hire: Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
- 3 years Supervisory/leadership experience.
