Compensation:

$90,590.00 - $128,239.00/Grade E

Responsibilities:

The position is responsible for monitoring financial aspect of the projected Budget for New Car Procurement Contracts. Prepares the estimated costs for the purchase of new subway cars for inclusion into the proposed Project Budget Request Plan. Monitors and analyzes all costs associated with existing and future rail car projects. Works closely with project management, budget and procurement to track and control expenditures, and ensure timely submission of reports. Ability to communicate on project(s) benchmark/status relative to the budget, impact of change orders, estimates to complete, variances, payments. Evaluates and monitors Carbuilder compliance to government mandated regulations for minority/veteran/women/disable owned businesses & employment & Buy America.

Education and Experience:

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or a satisfactory equivalent and six (6) years of satisfactory related experience, and three (3) years of experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity.


Desired Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of DCE and Subways rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of FTA and MTA contract requirements.
  • Experience and training in budgeting, auditing and contract administration.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with NYCT procurement contract requirements.

  • Strong PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.


Selection Method:

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
