You will serve as a MANAGER in the DEPUTY FOR OPERATIONS of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Duties

Help

• You will create and promulgate policies and procedures; establishing policy and directing the technical and programmatic allocations of Department facilities.
• You will establish and track facility plan of action and milestone schedule; coordinate and track execution costs.
• You will establish and direct department hiring policies for critical technical and engineering skills; establishing direction and policy for employee awards and recognition.
• You will deal with operational and personnel matters; lead development of policy and directing Information Technology network resources; lead interdepartmental operations and resolving personnel issues.
• You will advise, administer, supervise, or perform professional, scientific or technical work such as engineering projects, systems, processes, equipment, devices and material or methods.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band NM-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing subject matter expertise as a recognized leader of a particular area of technology or family of systems.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band NM-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading a team and providing technical, project management, and contract oversight; and applying basic budgetary and financial management principles.

The pay schedule for all Supervisor Positions will be NM-2/3/4/5/6.
