Manager, National Media

Role reports to:
Head of Media Skin Health, Neutrogena

Location:

What you will do

The Manager, National Media is responsible for developing and executing holistic paid media strategies that drive brand growth, consumer engagement, and business performance across national media channels on behalf of the Neutrogena brand. This role partners closely with brand marketing, analytics, consumer insights, creative, commerce, and agency partners to ensure media investments are optimized and aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities, deep knowledge of the evolving media landscape, and a passion for leveraging audience insights and data to deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

Media Strategy & Planning
• Develop integrated national media strategies across digital, social, video, programmatic, search, retail-adjacent, and emerging channels
• Translate business goals into media plans that drive awareness, consideration, conversion, and loyalty
• Align media strategies to brand priorities, consumer insights, and commercial objectives
• Effective budget management and stewardship
• Improve media effectiveness through innovation, testing, and optimization
Audience & Data Strategy
• Partner with internal and agency teams to optimize audience targeting frameworks
• Use audience insights and performance data to guide planning and investment
• Champion audience-led planning and measurement
Agency & Cross-Functional Leadership
• Serve as the primary contact for media agency partners
• Manage agency planning, activation, reporting, and optimization processes
• Partner with Brand, PR, Insights, Creative, E-commerce, Finance, and Analytics teams
• Influence stakeholders and build cross-functional consensus
Performance & Optimization
• Monitor performance to ensure media investments meet KPI and ROI goals
• Analyze results and recommend improvements for future performance
• Lead optimization discussions with agency and internal teams
• Identify media trends, risks, and opportunities
Innovation & Thought Leadership
• Stay current on emerging media platforms, technologies, measurement, and consumer behavior
• Evaluate new partnerships, platforms, and audience opportunities
• Lead test-and-learn initiatives to improve effectiveness and innovation
• Share best practices and trends with stakeholders
Reporting & Business Communication
• Develop executive-ready presentations and performance updates
• Communicate media recommendations and results to senior leaders
• Translate complex data into clear insights and business implications
• Support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial stewardship

What we are looking for:

Required
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field
• 6-8 years of experience in media planning, activation/investment, or integrated marketing
• Strong understanding of digital media, paid social, video, search, programmatic, and measurement frameworks (MMM, attribution, audience measurement)
• Demonstrated ability to turn data into actionable recommendations and business outcomes
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills
Preferred
• Experience working on large consumer brands, beauty category preferred
• Experience managing media budgets across a portfolio
• Familiarity with retail media and commerce-driven media strategies
• Experience managing agency relationships and cross-functional stakeholders

What's in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$124,100.00 - $175,200.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
