Position Summary

The National Account Manager (NAM) - Foodservice is responsible for leading and growing strategic national chain accounts across the Canadian Foodservice channel. This role drives profitable growth through customer partnerships, commercial strategy, and disciplined execution, while leveraging Saputo's broad dairy portfolio and innovation capabilities.

The NAM serves as the primary commercial lead for assigned accounts, managing all aspects of customer engagement including strategy development, contract negotiation, pricing, and cross-functional execution.

Salary: $92,795-$121,795

*Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training*

How you will make contributions that matter:

1.Strategic & Commercial Leadership
  • Develop and execute multi-year account strategies aligned with Saputo growth priorities
  • Manage P&L responsibility for assigned accounts, including pricing, mix, and profitability
  • Lead contract negotiations and renewals, ensuring value creation for both Saputo and the customer
  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities (menu expansion, LTOs, innovation, channel expansion)


2. Customer & Market Leadership
  • Build senior-level relationships across customer organizations (procurement, culinary, marketing, operations)
  • Function as a trusted advisor, bringing category insights and dairy expertise to customers
  • Deliver customer-centric innovation, partnering on menu development and product optimization
  • Maintain strong understanding of market dynamics, competitors, and distributor landscape


3. Execution Excellence
  • Own the end-to-end execution of account plans across internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage distributor alignment and performance to ensure contract compliance and volume delivery
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with supply chain, finance, marketing, and R&D to deliver results
  • Track performance vs. targets, ensuring consistent delivery of volume, revenue, and margin commitments


4. Leadership & Influence
  • Lead internal cross-functional account teams, aligning stakeholders to customer priorities
  • Provide clear executive communication on account performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Champion Saputo's values, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture


You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
  • 5-10+ years of experience in Foodservice sales, national accounts, or commercial roles
  • Proven history managing large, complex national chain accounts
  • Strong financial acumen (pricing, margin management, contract structures)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Experience working with distributors (e.g., Sysco, GFS) and understanding of go-to-market models
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, or related field (MBA considered an asset)
