Manager, National Accounts- California or Chicago, IL
Carbohydrate Business Unit, Sweetening and Texturizing Solutions

This is a full time, exempt level position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing high profile customer accounts for ADM Sweeteners and Texturizing Solutions including sales of nutritive sweeteners, non-nutritive sweeteners, citric acid and food starches. This position is also responsible for prospecting and growing of new and existing customers. In addition, the position will promote ADM's growing ingredient capabilities to customers and represent ADM at industry meetings and tradeshows.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • A minimum of bachelor's degree in Marketing (MBA is preferred), Business or related field is preferred or a minimum of five years' sales and marketing experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Salesforce.com and Microsoft software including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Essential Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our customer facing organization to develop and implement differentiated value propositions for target market segments and customers
  • Selling in both face-to-face and digital customer environments
  • Leverage selling analytics and make recommendations on how to improve financials of market segments and customers serviced
  • Actively maintain demand characterization database
  • Ultimately responsible for effective management of ancillary charges (knowing the cost to serve) and in assisting in the timely collection of account receivables
  • Wholly responsible for annual contracting activities
  • Be recognized customer expert and key point of contact for sweeteners and texturizing solutions
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date 'fact-based' customer development plans
  • Analyze marketing insights to unlock opportunities for future account growth
  • Active use and implementation of CRM Tool (Salesforce.com)
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships within Sweeteners and Texturizing Solutions, in addition to other ADM Business Units
Travel
  • Overnight travel is required (40% minimum)
Reporting Structure
  • This role reports directly to the North American Senior Director of Sales, who reports to the President of Sweetening & Texturizing Solutions.
