Job Description

In this position...

Ford Marketing Analytics is seeking a highly capable, technically grounded, and detail-oriented Manager to lead the team responsible for the enterprise's Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA) capability. This leadership role will manage a team of 8 people responsible for vendor data management, marketing analytics request intake and delivery, marketing taxonomy governance, and the analytical methods that underpin attribution insight, in partnership with Ford's media agency.

This team plays a critical role in enabling Marketing to understand the effectiveness and efficiency of its media investments across the customer journey. The team's work spans managing the relationship and data pipeline with Ford's MTA vendor, fielding and prioritizing analytics requests from Marketing stakeholders, applying statistical and data science methods to validate and enhance attribution outputs, delivering dashboards and reporting that translate attribution data into actionable insight, and ensuring the campaign taxonomy that underpins all attribution data is accurate, consistent, and governed in close partnership with the agency.

This individual will combine strong data science, data management, analytics, and business acumen with the ability to translate complex, cross-functional data challenges into reliable, trusted marketing measurement products. They will partner closely with stakeholders across Ford Retail, Model e, Ford Pro, and Lincoln Marketing, the MTA vendor, and Ford's media agency to manage data quality, prioritize the analytics backlog, oversee vendor budget and contract performance, evaluate and improve attribution methodology, and ensure taxonomy standards are consistently applied across campaigns. This role leverages Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Python, and SQL to manage recurring data refresh processes and analytical workflows that feed the attribution ecosystem.

What you'll do...
  • Manage intake, prioritization, and delivery of analytics requests from Marketing stakeholders, balancing ad hoc needs with the broader roadmap.
  • Lead and develop a team of 8 people responsible for MTA vendor data management, marketing analytics delivery, statistical/data science analysis, and taxonomy governance.
  • Establish a high-performing, collaborative team culture that emphasizes technical rigor, accountability, continuous learning, and strong business partnership.
  • Coach, mentor, and support the career development and performance management of team members.
  • Own the end-to-end relationship with Ford's MTA vendor, including data ingestion, service performance, methodology evaluation, issue resolution, and contract oversight.
  • Oversee data quality and validation processes, including statistical checks and anomaly detection, to ensure MTA data feeding dashboards and reporting is accurate, complete, and trustworthy.
  • Apply and guide the use of statistical methods, causal inference, and incrementality/lift analysis to validate attribution outputs and strengthen confidence in measurement results.
  • Oversee recurring data refresh processes run on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging SQL and Python to support and automate the attribution data pipeline.
  • Own and manage the team's backlog, ensuring priorities align with Marketing leadership objectives and available capacity.
  • Direct the development and delivery of dashboards and reporting that translate attribution and measurement data into clear, actionable insight for Marketing stakeholders.
  • Partner with Ford's media agency to define, govern, and enforce campaign taxonomy standards, ensuring consistent naming conventions across all campaigns and channels.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for taxonomy, data quality, methodology, and vendor-related issues, resolving blockers and driving timely upward escalation when needed.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Marketing, the MTA vendor, and the agency to drive adoption of attribution insights and measurable business impact.
  • Communicate complex data, statistical, and measurement concepts, results, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure best practices, data privacy standards, and organizational policies are followed across all vendor and agency data exchanges.
  • Utilize AI/ML and Generative AI tools to drive efficiencies in workload, automate analysis, and derive deeper insights for Marketing business partners.
  • Work with Data Fulfillment and Data Factory for any new data enhancements.
  • Provide an excellent example of and expectation for Ford+ behaviors within the Marketing Analytics team.
  • Implement "Close the Loop," OKR, and Performance+ objectives and processes within Marketing Analytics.

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data analytics, data science, media measurement, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience leading technical or analytics teams.
  • Working proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, validation, and automation.
  • Strong working knowledge of statistical methods (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression, incrementality/lift analysis) applied to marketing measurement.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, including data delivery, budget, and contract performance.
  • Experience with marketing/media taxonomy, campaign tagging standards, or attribution data structures.
  • Strong data quality and validation skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues across systems.
  • Experience delivering dashboards and reporting to business stakeholders.

Even better, you may have...
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant marketing analytics, data science, or media measurement experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading, coaching, or managing teams.
  • Direct experience with Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA) platforms, methodologies, and/or Media Mix Modeling (MMM).
  • Applied experience with causal inference, uplift modeling, or experimentation design to evaluate marketing effectiveness.
  • Hands-on experience building or validating statistical/machine learning models in Python (e.g., regression, classification, time-series).
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud-based data and machine learning platforms.
  • Experience working with media agencies on taxonomy governance and campaign tagging standards.
  • Familiarity with dashboarding and BI tools (e.g., Qlik, Looker, Power BI).
  • Experience applying Generative AI tools to improve data science and analytics workflows.
