What you will do

You will lead the teams that develop the manufacturing machining processes, methods and standards. Initiate and coordinate changes in support of the manufacturing goals like OEE, cycle time, cost of manufacturing, drive productivity.

Provide leadership and guidance to the Manufacturing Engineering Team with the goal of meeting the Manufacturing Engineering Team objectives and developing a highly talented, engaged and flexible Engineering Team. Responsible for safety, quality, delivery, and cost of the production process as well as projects/staff and competence development. Forecast operating costs of department and direct preparation of budget requests.

This managerial role is also responsible for fostering a continuous improvement culture focused on waste elimination, employee engagement, and application/practice of lean theory. Actively participate in global networks in Engineering Processes.

Accountable for achieving Manufacturing Engineering financial and operational KPIs, including Standard Cost of Sales (SCOS), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), project on-time delivery, gates passed on time, and the development of direct reports.

  • Knowledge ofmachining operations, including turning, milling, grinding, gear cutting, CNC machining, robotics, and automation.
  • Experience optimizing manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and quality systems to improve safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
  • Ability to analyze production capacity, staffing requirements, KPIs, and business performance to drive operational improvements.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions, engineering changes, manufacturing feasibility studies, and industrialization activities.
  • Ability to develop and present business cases, benchmark best practices, and implement cost-effective manufacturing solutions
  • Lead the development of engineering competencies through coaching, mentoring, and technical skill development to build a high-performing engineering team.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Product Engineering to drive operational excellence, resolve manufacturing challenges, and achieve plant performance objectives.


Required Education and Knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience, including leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required.

For this position, the base pay is set at $128,300- $158,400 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
