About The Opportunity
Manage all aspects of the maintenance department and engineering, including managing maintenance costs, contractor-performed maintenance, regular and preventive maintenance, and new equipment installations and improvements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Build, lead, and train a cohesive team for maintenance and engineering employees focused on company
objectives of safety, quality, service, and efficiency.
2. Oversee all corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities for production equipment and facility systems.
3. Oversee the design, planning, and execution of capital improvement projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades.
4. Drive and apply lean principles to the maintenance processes to minimize waste and increase the throughput.
5. Use data collection processes to evaluate unplanned downtime and implement corrective actions to drive metric improvements.
6. Maintain spend forecast and approve monthly R&M spend for the facility.
7. Organize, lead, and track capital projects.
8. Partner with production and quality teams to introduce new processes, improve existing equipment, and support operational excellence.
9. Maintain facility standards.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Education/Certification
Level Required:
Bachelor's Degree - Technical Management or Plastics Engineering
RJG Training Certifications - Systematic
Level Desired:
Master's Degree
Work Experience
Required:
• 5-10 years of relevant work experience
• 2-5 years of experience in a plastics or fabrication environment
Desired:
• Experience in injection molding, tooling
management, and facility maintenance
