  • Manage the Maintenance Connection database to ensure PMs, work orders, and parts inventory are accurate and current.
  • Contact vendors for quotes or technical information while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Conduct quarterly physical inventory counts and maintain proper labeling and par levels of parts.
  • Train and retrain associates as needed based on audit findings and performance opportunities.

Shift: Friday/Saturday/Sunday 5am to 330pm

Base Salary: $120,000 - $125,000

About Your Role:
As a Maintenance Manager at Dollar Tree's Distribution Center, you'll be responsible for supervising maintenance personnel and overseeing all facility and equipment maintenance during your shift. You'll ensure maximum system uptime, promote safety, and maintain operational efficiency through preventive maintenance, repairs, and work order management. Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:
• Directly oversee the repair and maintenance of the facility, equipment, and support systems
• Assign and audit work orders, prioritizing safety and production-related tasks
• Assist maintenance associates with troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs as needed
• Manage Maintenance Connection database to ensure PMs, work orders, and parts inventory are accurate and current
• Contact vendors for quotes or technical information, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and contractors
• Conduct quarterly physical inventory counts and maintain proper labeling and par levels of parts
• Partner with facility management to ensure maintenance needs are met and the facility remains in optimal condition
• Train and retrain associates as needed based on audit findings and performance opportunities
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and HR Manager to carry out disciplinary actions or recommend employment terminations when appropriate
• Share information with associates and provide regular feedback to management through shift hand-offs, email, or phone
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with administrative duties and other functions as necessary

Your Required Skills and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred
• Minimum of three years maintenance and supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance and safety best practices
• Leadership, administrative, organizational, managerial, and communication skills
• Analytical ability to gather, interpret, and develop solutions
• Skilled in blueprint reading
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Ability to make rapid and thorough independent decisions and solve problems creatively

Preferred Requirements:
• Experience in a high-volume distribution center environment
• Strong ability to train and develop maintenance associates
• Ability to accept personal and departmental accountability for areas of responsibility
• Demonstrated capability in maintaining both operational excellence and safety compliance
