DescriptionNorthrop Grumman’s Legislative Affairs organization is seeking a Manager, Outreach and Advocacy 1,to lead third-party engagements and implement its advocacy strategies.
Reporting to the Director,Policy and Advocacy, the Manager is responsible for developing and executing external engagement strategies in support of Northrop Grumman programs and priorities; coordinatinginternal company parties in support of advocacy efforts; and collaborating with suppliers, third-party organizations, and other external stakeholders. The individual will be required to engage and develop relationships with a variety of elected officials and their staff, suppliers/partners, state and local leaders, and third parties.
This positionis locatedinthe Falls Church, VA corporate officewith the ability to also work outof theWashington,D.C.Capitol Hill office.
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline, and at least 8years of experience in government relations, legislative, communications, or advocacy activitiesOR Master’s degree in related discipline, and at least 6years of experience in government relations, legislative, communications, or advocacy activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the budget, legislative process, authorization process, and appropriations process; and
Primary Level Salary Range: $121,000.00 - $181,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
