Full Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Manager: Leadership Operations

GROUP: Executive Office

REPORTS TO: President and Chief Executive Officer

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Leadership Operations, serves as a strategic support to the CEO and executive leadership team, with significant responsibility for coordination of Board of Directors' engagement and governance activities. This role supports the CEO to facilitate the interface between the board and the organization while providing support to Winrock's executive team operations.

Board of Directors Management & Governance
• Serve as primary liaison between the CEO, executive leadership team, and Winrock's Board of Directors
• Coordinate and manage all aspects of Winrock board meetings, including agenda development, materials preparation and collection, logistics coordination, and follow-up actions
• Coordinate, manage, and support the processes of Winrock's other boards (ERT and the Winrock Foundation)
• Oversee support to Board committees, maintenance of board records and governance materials, and facilitation of board member onboarding, education, and engagement activities
• Track board decisions and commitments, ensuring timely implementation and reporting
• Operationalize Executive Team effort to translate board directives into organizational actions
• Collaborate with the CEO, Board Chair, and Board Secretary to strengthen governance practices, recruit and onboard new members, and increase board effectiveness

Executive Support & Strategic Initiatives
• Support the CEO in prioritization of tasks
• Supervise Executive Operations Coordinator in providing administrative support to the CEO and executive team
• Lead special projects, on behalf of the CEO, that advance strategic priorities
• Support Chief Strategy and Growth Officer in implementation and tracking progress of Winrock's [redacted] strategic plan
• Provide coordination support for special events
• Coordinate and prepare executive talking points and key communications, including briefings and presentations
• Attend the weekly executive team meetings to capture and follow up on action items

Organizational Effectiveness
• Serve as a liaison between the executive team and Winrock staff
• Coordinate and manage monthly all-staff meetings
• Coordinate the weekly executive and senior leadership team meetings
• Align organizational systems and processes with executive team approved strategies and policies
• Establish systems to track progress on executive team approved strategic goals and provide regular updates
• Support executive team evaluation of organizational performance and effectiveness

QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND:
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 5 years of progressive experience supporting executive leaders and teams, including at least 2 years working directly with Boards of Directors.
• Previous experience as board liaison or governance professional in a complex, global organization.
• International development experience highly desirable.
• High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work across diverse cultures, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and diplomatic skills.
• Analytical problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work proactively and prioritize on a day-to-day basis to resolve issues associated with a demanding international organization.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.

Salary range: $85,000-110,000, depending on skills and relevant experience. Winrock offers competitive pay and an excellent benefits package.
