Full Job Description
What will you do?

A day in the life of the Manager, Leadership Development AMER at VF looks a little like this.

You work within Global Learning and Leadership Development as a senior individual contributor supporting the AMER region, while being deeply focused on a specific leadership population such as New Manager, Manager, or Director. You partner closely with business leaders, HRBPs, regional learning partners, and global portfolio and design teams. Your role centers on becoming a trusted learning lead for your assigned leadership level, responding to regional leadership development needs by leveraging and tailoring enterprise learning solutions, designing and facilitating bespoke experiences where needed, and ensuring leadership learning is grounded in real VF leadership challenges and expectations. You also contribute AMER leadership insights back into global curriculum and portfolio work, helping enterprise solutions evolve in practical, relevant ways. This role reports to the Senior Director, Global Learning, and Leadership Development.

Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

Aligns Leadership Development to Business Priorities and Real Work Challenges
  • Serves as the designated learning lead for a defined leadership level (e.g., New Manager, Manager, or Director), becoming deeply embedded in the leadership expectations, challenges, and decision contexts at that level.
  • Builds strong relationships with business leaders, HRBPs, and functional partners to understand leadership priorities, pain points, and ways of working.
  • Shapes and maintains the leadership capability curriculum for the assigned level in partnership with global learning leaders, ensuring alignment with enterprise leadership frameworks and priorities.
  • Defines leadership skill expectations, progression, and outcomes appropriate to the assigned level, grounded in real performance requirements and business standards.
  • Ensures leadership learning reflects real VF work, tradeoffs, and expectations rather than abstract leadership models.

Regional Customization (AMER Execution & Delivery Lead)
  • Serves as the AMER point of contact for leadership development programs at the assigned level.
  • Uses strong knowledge of the enterprise learning catalogue to recommend, tailor, or combine existing leadership solutions in response to AMER-specific needs.
  • Designs and deploys bespoke, quick-turn leadership learning solutions when existing offerings do not fully meet regional or leadership-level needs.
  • Facilitates leadership programs and workshops across AMER markets, ensuring relevance, consistency, and high-quality learner experiences.
  • Supports regional delivery execution, ensuring leadership learning lands effectively in real business and people-management contexts.

Global Team Member (Enterprise Contribution & Governance)
  • Contributes AMER leadership insights to global curriculum design, portfolio discussions, and roadmap planning for the assigned leadership level.
  • Represents AMER leader needs and market context in global working sessions and governance forums.
  • Acts as a thought partner to global learning teams, influencing how enterprise leadership solutions evolve based on regional and real-world leadership realities.
  • Aligns AMER execution with global leadership programs, architectures, and experience standards while providing early feedback on gaps or friction.
