Full Job Description
Job Summary:

 

TheManager, Last Mile Logistics & Projects, is responsible for the last mile transport efficiency of our Ecommerce channels. While focusing on operational excellence, the scope of work will expand to Inbound Transport and Customs process optimization. The position manages the IT/ECOMM relationships during system integrations, optimizes transportation costs, makes strategic suggestions to improve overall processes and ensures compliance across all legs of the product journey. 6 Currently 1 direct report -

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Strategy & Operations

  • Manage transportation sources strategically to reduce the total cost & quality of services;

  • Analyze carrier portfolio & suggest go-forward strategy ,make recommendations around Carrier portfolio and rates;

  • Leverage Ai, introduce agentic & prompts to convert complex business transportation needs into viable, cost-effective solutionsfor our Global expansion;

  • Entertain continuous improvement conversation with carriers, oversee refunds & claims, undertake project in partnership with our vendors;

  • Utilize Shipium, Techdinamics, Bamboo Rose and INFOR NEXUS to access data source information as needed;

  • Collaborate with internal departments (Distribution, Allocation, Operations, IT and more) to respond to dynamic logistics requirements and constraints;

  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new software providers to drive continuous improvement;

  • Attend trade conferences and entertain discovery calls with potential suppliers;

  • Act as the departmental resource during the ERP upgrade project, establishing functional requirements with managers and representing the department during implementation phases.

BI & Analytics

  • Own the Subject Matter Expert (SME) role on Global Logistics systems including GMT, Sigma (reporting) testing, improvement, bug resolution, and system upgrades;

  • Create, assess, maintain and present monthly, overall Transportation Dashboard;

  • Analyze large data sets to provide meaningful insights and develop supply chain-wide strategies that support multi-level decision-making;

  • Undertake the discovery of new tools (e.g., TMS);

  • Create and socialize comprehensive dashboards with the business to track KPIs such as transit times, freight rates, and disposal costs;

  • Oversee the publication of comprehensive training manuals for the team.

Logistics Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure month-end alignment on spend with A/P and FP&A partners;

  • Provide operational support for customs and traffic coordination during peak seasons or vacations;

  • Work in tandem with managers to develop new operational flows and document internal logistics processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field;

  • 4 65+ years of relevant experience in supply chain/logistics operational optimization;

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required;

  • Experience with AI;

  • Experience with logistics software (e.g., BambooRose, INFOR NEXUS, or Trade Stone) is valued;

  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec;

  • CIFFA or CCS certification is considered an asset;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Ability to synthesize data for senior leadership;

  • Capacity to perform in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
