Job DescriptionThe Kitting & Fulfillment Manager leads the Fulfillment Coordination team responsible for ensuring warehouse operations are fully prepared to execute kitting, packaging, and shipping activities accurately and on time. This role oversees fulfillment readiness, workflow coordination, operational visibility, and cross-functional alignment across all fulfillment-related activities.
The Kitting & Fulfillment Manager is accountable for ensuring warehouse teams receive complete, accurate, and execution-ready information, materials, priorities, and documentation-enabling efficient and reliable fulfillment execution without operational disruption.
This role combines
people leadership, operational coordination, fulfillment readiness oversight, and continuous improvement to support scalable execution excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Performance Management- Lead and develop a team of Fulfillment Specialists responsible for fulfillment readiness and warehouse coordination
- Establish clear expectations, service levels, and accountability measures across the team
- Provide coaching, feedback, training, and ongoing performance management
- Balance workloads and assign responsibilities to support changing business priorities and fulfillment demand
Fulfillment Readiness Oversight- Ensure all fulfillment requests are fully prepared prior to release to warehouse operations
- Oversee validation of:
- Materials and inventory availability
- Fulfillment instructions and documentation
- Shipping requirements and timelines
- Packaging and labeling requirements
- Ensure warehouse teams are equipped with all required information to execute efficiently and accurately
Warehouse Coordination & Execution Flow- Serve as the operational bridge between execution teams and warehouse operations
- Ensure fulfillment priorities, sequencing, and timelines are clearly communicated to warehouse teams
- Partner with warehouse leadership to align fulfillment demand with operational capacity and constraints
- Maintain smooth execution flow and minimize warehouse disruption or confusion
Cross-Functional Operational Alignment- Partner closely with:
- Merchandising Specialists
- Order Entry Teams
- Intake Specialists
- Inventory and Supply Chain teams
- Ensure fulfillment readiness requirements are consistently understood and followed across all teams
Fulfillment Visibility & Escalation Management- Maintain visibility into fulfillment backlog, readiness status, throughput, and operational risks
- Provide clear and proactive communication regarding delays, shortages, or fulfillment concerns
- Escalate operational risks with recommended mitigation plans and resolution actions
Process Governance & Operational Excellence- Establish and maintain standardized fulfillment readiness processes and workflows
- Identify operational inefficiencies, recurring issues, or handoff gaps impacting fulfillment execution
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve fulfillment reliability, scalability, and communication flow
Capacity Planning & Workload Management- Monitor fulfillment demand trends and readiness workload across the team
- Ensure appropriate staffing and workload balancing to support service levels and business expectations
- Coordinate with leadership during peak periods, launches, or high-volume initiatives
Qualifications & Experience- 5+ years in fulfillment, warehouse operations, supply chain, or operations management
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and other business teams
- Strong understanding of kitting, order fulfillment, and distribution processes
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems and order management workflows
- Proven ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented work in a fast-paced environment
