This position offers a hybrid work option. Nelnet values flexibility and understands the importance of work-life integration. In addition to having strong leadership and communication skills, the ability to build strong relationships with other departments is important in your role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coaches,motivatesand professionally developsteam members,helping to set and model desired quality techniques.
  • Buildsstrong relationships with IT, Product, and Operations leaders to seek feedbackforcontinuous improvement.
  • Translatestechnicaldetailinto business relevant language.
  • Setsclearobjectivesandmeasures,alignedwith organizational goals,toevaluatethe performance of team membersand toutilize incompensation recommendations.
  • Promotesteamwork and cooperation within and across teams.

  • Assesses and improves team health.
  • Createsa culture that makes room forfailure, learning,and continuous improvement.
  • Leadsthe hiring process for team members.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESUNIQUETO THIS ROLE:

  • Responsiblefor product or initiative delivery,includingquality,efficiencyandworktimeliness.
  • Effectively communicates the status of ongoing initiatives and the state of the product, working with Product Owners and Teams to address stakeholder concerns.
  • AssistsAgile teams in implementing designs for large-scale software projects that meet customer and business needs.
  • Discusses where our systems are today and where we want to take them and helps design how we can best get there.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3yearsleadership experience,preferablyin IT.
  • Experience mentoringand developingothers and/orleadingasignificant changewithin a team.

Compensation range for this role is $110,00-$120,000 annually, depending on experience.
