Full Job Description
Every event we deliver runs on technology that has to work the first time, whether that's in our offices, across our warehouses, or at a site that only exists for a few weeks. As our IT Manager, you'll be the go-to technology leader who makes that happen. You'll lead a small, talented team and still roll up your sleeves on the systems, security, and support that keep Arena moving.
💻 You'll Love This Role
A front-row seat to world-class live events, where your work powers everything from our offices to temporary event sites
Real ownership from day one: you'll lead IT for the Arena Americas team and shape where our technology goes next
A hands-on leadership role that blends coaching a team, solving real problems, and building for the future
The chance to put automation and AI to work, and build a practical roadmap that grows with the business
A company that promotes from within and rewards people who take ownership and sweat the details
🛠How You'll Support the Structure
Lead, coach, and grow a small IT team (help desk, systems, and support), setting clear priorities, celebrating wins, and pitching in on the day-to-day work alongside them
Keep our networks, servers, cloud services, and devices reliable, secure, and ready to go, from our offices and warehouses to short-term event sites
Run a responsive help desk, resolve escalations quickly, and make sure teammates get the support they need to do their best work
Partner with operations, finance, HR, and project teams to turn what they need into practical, right-sized technology solutions
Manage and improve our core business applications (ERP, project management, and asset tracking tools), leading upgrades, integrations, and training, and supporting the reporting that helps leaders make faster, smarter decisions
Champion cybersecurity and data protection through strong access controls, backups, incident response and business continuity plans, and a security-aware culture
Plan and manage the IT budget, track spend, and make smart investments that deliver real value
Build strong relationships with technology vendors and partners, and manage contracts, licenses, and service levels so we get great performance and value
Advise leadership on emerging technology and help integrate new teams, locations, and businesses as we grow
🧱 The Foundation You Already Have
We're looking for a hands-on, people-first technology leader who loves solving problems and can explain tech in plain English.
7+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 2 years leading or supervising a team
A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365, Windows server and desktop environments, networking (LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi), and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection, access management, backup and recovery, and data privacy
Proven project ownership: you enjoy taking a system implementation from idea to launch, on time and on budget
Experience managing vendors, contracts, and a departmental budget
Serious organizational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
A solutions-first mindset and a willingness to wear many hats, whether that means leading a meeting or troubleshooting a network
Bonus Points If You Have These
Experience in live events, construction, logistics, or another asset-intensive, project-based industry
Working knowledge of ERP, asset or fleet management, or field operations systems
Experience supporting technology through growth, acquisitions, or a multi-location organization
Certifications like ITIL, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or PMP
