Full Job Description
Purpose: The Inventory Control and Distribution Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, warehouse control processes, distribution quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Indianapolis Distribution Center. This role ensures proper inventory management, regulatory compliance, product quality, and operational efficiency while leading teams responsible for inventory control, cycle counting, quality inspections, and distribution activities. Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate current and future organizational processes of the Inventory Control and Distribution QC functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all Inventory Control and Distribution QC functions.
  • Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, including order accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Responsible for management and execution of inter-facility inventory transfers, including management of drivers and rental fleet.
  • Accountability for management of multi facility, multi shift people and processes.
  • Develop and maintain inventory roll-forward, partnering with upstream business process owners to ensure accuracy of projected inbound and outbound volumes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external counterparts and stakeholders to identify and address operational breakdowns and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain inventory control cycle count processes, procedures and reporting.
  • Responsible for management of sku profiling processes.
  • Provide consultative services to other department managers in the resolution and investigation of inventory-related questions and concerns.
  • Project management of small scale distribution projects.
  • Develop and maintain key analytical tools to support daily IC/QC operations and other distribution related functions.
  • Accountable for IC and QC Distribution budget and expenses.
  • Lead and develop inventory control and quality personnel.
  • Establish departmental goals and performance metrics.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the leadership framework mindset is cultivated within the operation.

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5 years of management experience in a distribution environment with considerable experience in managing inventory levels and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
