Job Description

The Manager, Infrastructure and Cloud Services is accountable for the reliability, security, modernization, and operational delivery of General Dynamics Mission Systems core technology platforms across Canada and the United Kingdom.

This role leads the teams responsible for cloud platforms, server infrastructure, virtualization, storage, backup and recovery, Microsoft 365 services, identity services, enterprise compute, and associated operational technologies. You will provide both technical leadership and people leadership while driving the organization's transition from legacy infrastructure toward a modern, cloud-enabled operating model.

The successful candidate will be an execution-oriented leader with strong operational discipline, capable of delivering stable services while simultaneously leading modernization initiatives across AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, virtualization, storage, and hybrid infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise infrastructure, cloud, compute, virtualization, storage, data protection, and Microsoft 365 operations.
• Ensure critical platforms are secure, reliable, resilient, compliant, and cost-effective.
• Oversee incident management, service restoration, disaster recovery, capacity planning, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement.
• Drive cloud adoption, workplace modernization, automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, monitoring, and platform governance.
• Establish operational standards, service-level metrics, KPIs, and audit-ready controls.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team while managing recruitment, performance, workforce planning, and talent development.
• Manage infrastructure budgets, vendor performance, contracts, business cases, and technology investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience.
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise infrastructure environments within complex organizations.
• Strong experience managing AWS and Azure platforms.
• Strong experience managing Microsoft 365 services.
• Strong experience managing VMware environments.
• Experience managing enterprise SAN and NAS environments.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity programs.
• Experience working within highly regulated or security-sensitive environments.
• Experience working with or familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.

Technical Experience and areas of focus:

• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, hybrid cloud architecture, cloud security and governance, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud cost management
• Infrastructure: VMware, Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory/Entra ID, DNS/DHCP, enterprise monitoring, and infrastructure management
• Storage, Backup & Disaster Recovery: SAN/NAS technologies, enterprise backup and recovery, data replication, and disaster recovery platforms
• Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft Defender
• Automation & DevOps: PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, and platform automation

It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada.

Additional Information

The hiring range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 CAD annually. This role is eligible for a management incentive plan. Our goal is to provide a fair and competitive offer based on an assessment of internal equity and your qualifications, including:
