JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity
The Manager ILS Instrument Labeling works on site in our Irving, TX location in the CORE Dx Division.

Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

This role Leads the Instrument Labeling team responsible for creating global customer-facing documentation for CORE DX instruments, including user manuals and online help systems. The position combines technical expertise, people leadership, and project management to ensure labeling is compliant, accurate, user-focused, and aligned with regulatory requirements and business goals.

What You'll Work On
  • Lead and manage the Instrument Labeling team, providing technical direction, guidance, and oversight for planning, effort estimation, and quality of deliverables.
  • Partner with project managers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to define documentation requirements, project scope, priorities, and timelines.
  • Act as the organization's expert in instrument labeling, developing labeling strategies, standards, and best practices while guiding key decisions across multiple projects.
  • Oversee the creation and delivery of customer-facing technical documentation, including user manuals, instructions for use, and online help content for CORE DX instruments. Ensure documentation supports both U.S. and international regulatory submissions and meets quality, compliance, and business requirements.
  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate team activities across multiple projects, reviewing deliverables to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and on-time completion.
  • Ensure all labeling and documentation activities comply with quality system requirements, regulatory standards, and internal procedures, while maintaining clear, accurate, and user-friendly content.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, priorities, and resource needs effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Provide technical solutions to documentation and labeling challenges, develop project estimates, set delivery commitments, and drive execution to meet schedule, quality, and business objectives.
  • Resolve complex technical, process, and labeling-related issues by working across product lines and functional teams. Provide strategic guidance, clarify requirements, and support informed decision-making.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members through performance management, mentoring, career development planning, and day-to-day support. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 5 years' experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical products, nutritionals).


Preferred Qualifications
  • Past experience leading content development initiatives in structured authoring environments, ideally within regulated industries.
  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with experience overseeing documentation efforts that align with each phase: requirements, design, implementation, and verification.
  • Experience with ensuring documentation supports product and procedural goals.
  • Strong track record of collaborating with engineering, product, and compliance teams to align documentation strategy with development milestones.
  • Experience managing or mentoring content teams and influencing stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite environments.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, version control tools, and collaborative platforms is a plus.
  • Experience in the medical industry is a plus.
  • MS degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in content strategy, product documentation leadership, or a related area; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing technical teams or projects may also be considered.

$99,300.00 - $198,700.00
