The Manager of Display Planning will be responsible for managing weekly, seasonal and thematic display plans and execution for Stop & Shop. Responsible for the management and monetization of all sale floor assets, through driving our annual category display asset negotiation process. Partners with category, ops and supply chain to ensure product allocation process is driving profitable sales. Owns the development and refinement of all sales floor racks and displays, including Center store, DSD & Fresh (Partnership). Directs and leads the Display Planning Specialists in the areas of merchandising, standard practice, display planning and leadership development. Establishes, leads, refines and drives the brand display planning process. This process provides field and store leadership with specific merchandising guidance and guardrails, enabling each facility to maximize its sales potential. Develops collaborative partnerships with Merchandising Planning Managers & Category Leadership to prioritize financial opportunities, merchandising initiatives, and operational opportunities. This includes building and developing cross merchandising opportunities throughout the entire store. Leads communication between field and merchandising planning & execution organization, ensuring opportunities and wins are improved and accelerated.

What we ask of you:
• Owns day-to-day direction for implementation and support of display strategies and initiatives of total store.• Responsible for ensuring execution of all merchandising programs, while at the same time supporting the retail operation initiatives and goals (i.e. sales goals, shrink results, etc.).• Collaborate with the Merchandising Display team and Retail Operations to prioritize, plan, and communicate merchandising display expectations.• Create partnership with Retail Operations Leaders and Display Specialists to ensure alignment around company Standard Practices.• Responsible for development and refinement of display mapping process• Responsible for driving improved display execution through creating simplified execution plans• Assess program display effectiveness and provide recommended performance improvements to category teams for plan adjustments• Review and monitor secondary display performance and work with category team to adjust plans accordingly• Responsible for the development, talent planning and performance management of associates.
What you bring to the table:
• Minimum of 8 years combined experience in retail, merchandising, category, pricing, logistics, supply chain, procurement, and distribution including:• Minimum of 5 years of retail operations leadership• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.• Extensive knowledge of Fresh or Center Store categories.• Thorough understanding of Standard Practices and Merchandising techniques• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel and Power Point)• Cross-functional leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to build cross-functional teams• Demonstrated management expertise• Demonstrated relationship management experience with vendors, brokers and third party consultants• Seasoned level of knowledge for company, business and industry practices• Requires travel - typically 8 - 12%• Preferred:• Experience with organizational change management• 2+ years of multiple retail location responsibility• Merchandising and/or Category experience• Project Management experience

The salary range for this position is $125,200-$187,800 and will be commensurate with background, experience as well as internal equity.
