Job Description Summary
Dauch is looking for a Plant Human Resources Manager to join our team in Three Rivers, MI. This is a fully onsite role.

This position plays a critical role in fostering a positive labor environment, managing employee relations in a unionized setting, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and driving HR strategies that support plant operations. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong background in labor relations, employee engagement, and performance management. This person should also have the ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.

Job Description:
  • Provides mentorship, guidance, and leadership to HR team members, ensuring a high level of performance and professional growth.
  • Serves as the primary HR contact for plant leadership and union representatives.
  • Administers and interprets collective bargaining agreements (CBAs); manage grievances, arbitrations, and contract negotiations.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor and provide guidance on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Serves as site lead in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements and ensuring compliance with the terms of the agreement.
  • Leads recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to ensure staffing levels meet production goals.
  • Coaches and supports managers on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO.
  • Analyzes HR metrics and develop action plans to improve workforce performance and engagement.
  • Manages training and development initiatives to build employee capabilities and support career growth.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Supports diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the plant.
  • Oversees performance management processes, including performance appraisals and development plans.

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related. Master's Degree or HR certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of HR leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a unionized environment and handling labor relations matters. Strong ability to negotiate.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to build trust and maintain effective working relationships with all various levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
