Full Job Description
The Human Resources Manager will lead the human resource efforts within defined Health and Support Services areas and participate in leading specific HR functional responsibilities. Reporting to the Senior Director of People and Culture, the Human Resources Manager will assess defined HR employees to ensure effective client services and care.

2026 Annual Salary Range:$100,916 - 147,370

Ideal Candidates will possess:

    • Business Administration Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent combination of skills and experience acceptable to SLFNHA. CHRP designation would be an asset.
    • Minimum of five (5) years' Human Resources experience, preferably in a supervisory position. Previous health care staffing an asset.
    • Knowledge of Ontario labour and employment legislation.
    • Demonstrated experienced in consulting leaders in managing employment issues and concerns: Investigating, progressive discipline, recruitment, planning, performance management, disability management, etc.
    • Demonstrated experience managing human resources functional areas such as Benefits, Health and Safety, Recruitment, HRIS, Policy, Disability, etc.
    • Experience working in a First Nations community and ability to communicate in one of the First Nations dialects of the Sioux Lookout Zone is an asset.
    • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, able to clearly convey information to multi-disciplinary teams.
    • Natural problem solver who is comfortable managing difficult employment situation in a fair and objective manner.
    • Highly developed interpersonal skills, calm, resilient, adaptable and able to embrace challenges.
    • Ability to work with all levels of staff (independently or as part of a team) internally/externally and build relationships with stakeholders.
    • Excellent client service skills with the ability to earn and retain client confidence.
    • Strong computer skills and excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
