Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager HIS Solutions Expanse Financial Testing and Implementation is responsible for managing the planning, execution, and validation of financial testing workflows during Expanse EHR implementations. This role ensures the accuracy of revenue cycle processes, mitigates financial risk, and maintains compliance with operational and regulatory standards. The position requires exceptional leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment to achieve successful project outcomes that support organizational objectives and enhance patient care delivery. The Manager will use their staff to execute financial testing and implementation tasks for Expanse program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead with Purpose

Manage the resources responsible for financial testing of EHR implementations, ensuring every workflow-from charge capture to downstream integration-functions flawlessly, including the development and execution of comprehensive testing strategies for financial workflows, including charge linkage, charge capture, downstream revenue cycle integration, and reporting.

Testing Coordination

Manage end-to-end testing cycles, including make-or-break, financial end-to-end, and third-party vendor charge testing to ensure readiness for go-live.

Drive Quality & Compliance

Develop detailed test plans and documentation for go-live readiness; validate system configurations against standard parameters and compliance requirements

Collaborate Across Teams

Partner with revenue cycle, finance, IT, and clinical teams to define test scenarios, data requirements, and success criteria.

Solve Problems Fast

Identify, document, and resolve defects promptly in collaboration with technical and clinical teams

Empower Others

Provide guidance and training to analysts, testers, and stakeholders on revenue-impacting workflows within the EHR.

Project Oversight

Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables; monitor progress and escalate risks or delays to leadership.

Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the primary liaison between operational leadership and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.

Own the Outcome

Monitor progress, report key metrics, and escalate risks to ensure projects finish on time and exceed expectations by tracking testing progress and project metrics to ensure adherence to quality standards and client expectations.

Process Improvement

Lead and participate in the design and optimization of IT processes and workflows; ensure application stewardship practices such as documentation, version control, change management, and testing.

Customer Service & Support

Maintain effective communication with providers, business and clinical departments, and IT leadership; ensure timely resolution of Help Desk incidents and change orders. Facilitate highly responsive and effective customer service and maintain excellent working relationships with other IT and operational leadership.

Leadership & Team Development

Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement; clearly define roles, responsibilities, and priorities for application teams. Act as the primary point of contact for leadership in operations and clinical departments regarding patient financial systems implementation and support activities, including business days and after hours.

Governance & Compliance

Adhere to established policies, procedures, and standards related to governance, change management, project management, incident management, and system security.

Professional Development

Maintain current knowledge through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to stay abreast of industry trends and maintain certifications.

Leadership

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex EHR implementation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Proven experience in mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Skilled in managing stakeholder relationships at all levels, including executive leadership, to drive consensus and achieve project milestones.

Expertise in conflict resolution and decision-making under pressure, maintaining focus on quality outcomes and compliance standards.

What qualifications you will need:

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field - Required

PMP certification is a plus.

Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience

Minimum 5 years in healthcare revenue cycle operations.

At least 2 years in EHR implementation or testing leadership.

Proven history in project management within software or technology environments.

Technical Expertise

EHR Platforms: Direct experience with major EHR systems, including MEDITECH Expanse, Epic or Cerner with a focus on financial testing activities.

Testing Tools & Methodologies: Proficiency in test management tools and familiarity with Agile frameworks to support structured and efficient testing processes.

Revenue Cycle Knowledge: Understanding of core revenue cycle functions, including charge capture, claims processing, and reimbursement workflows, is highly desirable.
