Location: USA - Itasca, N Arlington Heights Rd Division: Air & Sea Job Posting Title: Manager, Heavy Haul, Automotive Time Type: Full Time Summary As a Project Manager at DSV, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will manage and coordinate DSV's global Project Services, serving as the primary point of contact and escalation lead for clients on assigned projects. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of project delivery, including coordinating cross-functional internal teams and external stakeholders, managing resources, monitoring progress, resolving challenges, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will drive project success by maintaining strong communication, effective collaboration, and alignment with client objectives and business goals. Duties and Responsibilities 37 Actively promote a culture of health and safety and participate in safety reviews and progress meetings. 37 Draw up and deploy project operating plans for specific projects. 37 Manage the operations team for effective outcomes according to the stages in each project life cycle. 37 Ensure that good relationships with client's group and other stakeholders is maintained. 37 Oversee the safe compliant delivery, end to end of special transport movements within the agreed KPI's. 37 Ensure that execution is inline with the relevant project estimate and properly account for all variations / change orders. 37 Ensure operating procedures are followed according to DSV's quality management system. 37 Support procurement with scope and general requirements when tendering to sub-contractors. Existing and new projects. 37 Attend daily project progress meetings. 37 Coordinate and manage monthly project and quarterly reviews. 37 Provide leadership to the operations team through active coaching and mentoring of project personnel. 37 Manage timely estimating of new projects (sales) to the client. 37 Identify continuous improvement initiatives. 37 Be willing to travel to sites within the project supply chain. 37 Create and develop an enjoyable working environment, promoting free thinking hard work and mile-stone delivery. Educational background / Work experience 37 A bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is typically required for this position. 37 At least 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics project management is preferred. Experience working in a customer-facing role is also desirable.
