Job Description:
Job Summary
Responsible for managing the daily operations and support of healthcare applications, including EHR and related clinical and business systems. Provides leadership to application analysts and project staff to ensure effective system performance, optimization, and user satisfaction. Coordinates application upgrades, configurations, and enhancements in alignment with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and departmental goals. Collaborates with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to deliver reliable, compliant, and cost-effective application solutions.
Essential Functions
• Provides leadership and direction to application teams, ensuring priorities are met and service-level expectations are achieved.
• Oversees application lifecycle activities including configuration, testing, upgrades, and vendor-supported patches.
• Coordinates project tasks, timelines, and deliverables in support of clinical and operational initiatives.
• Ensures application enhancements and changes align with organizational standards, security practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with clinical and business stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate solutions, and resolve complex application issues.
• Monitors performance metrics, customer feedback, and operational reports to identify improvement opportunities.
• Guides application teams in implementing workflow improvements that increase efficiency and usability.
• Manages vendor relationships for application support, licensing, and escalation of critical issues.
• Participates in governance activities related to application review, prioritization, and decision-making.
• Contributes input for departmental budgets, resource planning, and cost management for application services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree
Experience Requirement: 4-5 years of experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
