About the teamYou'll be part of a collaborative, results-driven Growth team that thrives on experimentation and innovation. We value creativity, data-driven decision-making, and a builder's mindset. Our team is passionate about finding new ways to deliver value to customers and scale Airwallex's impact globally. We support continuous learning, mentorship, and career growth, and we celebrate diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
What you'll doAs the Manager for Growth Strategy & Operations, you'll build and run the experimentation engine behind Airwallex's global growth: what we test, how we test it, and how we know when we're right. You'll design and manage the end-to-end execution of growth experiments and campaigns. You'll work with cross-functional partners to translate strategic hypotheses into operational workflows, manage experiment design and tracking, coordinate launches and rollouts, synthesize learnings to inform next iterations and build scalable systems.
You'll act as the operational backbone of the growth function, ensuring experiments run efficiently, dependencies are managed, and insights are captured. You'll own parts of our growth campaign calendar and experiment roadmap, working with Growth, Commercial, Data, Product, Engineering, Legal, Marketing to orchestrate launches. This role requires strong project management, analytical thinking, and the ability to balance speed with rigor.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities:- The experimentation backlog and roadmap. Consolidate hypotheses from Commercial, Lifecycle, Growth Innovation, Product and Marketing into a single prioritized backlog. Rank by expected impact, confidence, effort and strategic fit, and keep the prioritization framework current as the bar moves. Maintain the global campaign registry and forward calendar so teams can see clashes and share learnings.
- Experiment design and measurement. Partner with each campaign or experiment owner to define the hypothesis, primary metric, and target effect size before a single thing gets built. Set the measurement approach up front: control or holdout, audience size and statistical power, and the criteria for calling a result. Pressure-test feasibility across audience, budget and technical requirements, and flag what has to be built first.
- Build, QA and launch. Turn approved designs into live campaigns across our Martech stack (Hightouch, Marketo, Infobip, Contentful). Produce copy and creative variants with the campaign owner, draft terms with Legal where needed, and run copy and design approvals end to end. QA the full journey before go-live, apply consent, suppression and frequency-capping rules per market, and run the rollback and comms protocol if a campaign misfires.
- Measurement and readout. Own the tracking taxonomy e.g. campaign IDs, tagging conventions so results stay comparable across campaigns and regions. Build and maintain reporting dashboards with Data Science in Hex and Looker, monitor performance, run ad-hoc analysis and troubleshooting, and share results and learnings in cross-functional forums.
- Systems, automation and AI. Find the gaps in tooling and process, and codify repeatable work incl. checklists, QA scripts, readout templates, a registry library into tooling that scales. Use AI to do this well, with clear guardrails: human review before anything customer-facing goes live.
- Budget and forecasting. Partner with FP&A on the budgeting and forecasting process. Set expected impact and cost targets before launch, own the central budget once allocated, track utilization across campaigns, and report actuals against forecast.
Who you areWe're looking for people who meet the minimum requirements for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.
Minimum qualifications:- 5+ years of experience in growth, operations, product management, or strategy roles
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills; comfort working with data and metrics
- Experience designing or coordinating experiments; familiarity with A/B testing methodology
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to synthesize and present insights clearly
- Ability to execute in ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Preferred qualifications:- A track record running experimentation programs with real statistical rigor. You know how holdouts, power and significance actually work, not just the vocabulary.
- Hands-on experience across lifecycle and Martech tooling and a CDP. You can build and QA a campaign yourself
- Strong analytical rigor. You're comfortable in SQL and/or analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Tableau, Hex, Looker etc.), and you turn raw performance data into a decision
- A prioritization instinct. You can say no to good ideas to protect the few that matter, and defend the call with evidence
- Cross-functional range. You move easily between Commercial, Product, Marketing, Data and Legal
- A bias to build. You reach for automation and AI to make repeatable work scale, and you put guardrails around it before it ships
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, or high-growth tech companies
- Familiarity with agile and product development methodologies
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and data teams to deploy experiments at scale
