We are looking for you to join our team as a Manager General Manufacturing 1 based out of Apopka, FL.

The Manager General Manufacturing 1 will be responsible for the manufacturing team that builds and tests various products for multiple programs. This individual is responsible for a team of employees that builds and tests different products in support of multiple business needs and programs.

What you will get to do:
  • Lead and assist Technicians and Assemblers by ensuring they have tools, support, training, work-life balance, and proper documentation to perform their jobs.
  • Audit assembly areas to ensure company policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Monitor and plan labor by allocating people to projects, aligning overtime, and scheduling time off.
  • Maintain acceptable operations performance by monitoring metrics, like weekly delivery cadence, on-time to contract, and hours per unit, and develop a return to green plan for deficiencies.
  • Control the departmental budget for your workforce.
  • Coordinate efforts with Operation Program Managers (OPMS) for labor support, production priorities, and early identification of issues related to delivery execution.
  • Develop technicians and assemblers through cross-training efforts to develop an agile/flexible workforce. and encourage them to develop their career path within NG.
  • Communicate information throughout all levels of the organization.
  • The candidate should have a desire to support, develop, and lead others.


Basic Qualifications for the Manager General Manufacturing 1:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment; OR a Master's Degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment; OR 9 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment in lieu of a degree.
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience using SAP
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • US Citizenship required.


Preferred Qualifications for the Manager General Manufacturing 1:
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience working in a clean room.
  • OSHA/PPE Experience
  • Experience managing people and performance.
  • MPLM experience
  • RCCA experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $86,300.00 - $129,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
