University of Washington Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for an Infection Prevention Manager to join our team.

SCHEDULE:
  • Full-time position
  • Primarily day shifts, Monday - Friday. Coordinates to ensure Infection Control coverage 24/7 and may be called upon for occasional consultation and guidance during off hours and weekends.


POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

Under the oversight of the Associate Administrator, CCE, and direction of the Medical Director of Infection Prevention, the Manager for Infection Prevention and Control will provide program leadership, coordination, and education for the implementation of infection prevention and related patient safety practices across both campuses of University of Washington Medical Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Partners with the Associate Administrator and Medical Director of Infection Prevention to assist in the development of evidence-based standards, protocols, guidelines, policies and procedures for infection prevention and control.
  • Leads the implementation of institutional priorities for the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
  • Analyzes and identifies trends and areas for practice improvement for the prevention of hospital acquired infections.
  • Partners with Employee Health for staff/faculty initiatives related to infection prevention
  • Participates in regulatory activities related to infection prevention and patient safety and responds to regulatory requests related to infection prevention


REQUIREMENTS:
  • 6 years of experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting with experience and knowledge of infection prevention principles and practices
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and measurement
  • Ability to analyze data for opportunities for improvement in patient care practices, and demonstrated success in organizing and teaching educational offerings
  • Strong leadership, customer service focus, and interpersonal skills
  • Baccalaureate degree in healthcare related field; Masters in healthcare or business preferred


Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:
$120,000.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$174,000.00 annual
