Employment Type: Full-Time Regular

Number of in-office/on-site days: 1 day per week

Annual Salary Range: Exempt Band 6, MIN $105,000.00 - MED $130,150.00 - MAX $155,300.00

Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of knowledge, skills, experience and ability of the candidate to meet the key requirements of the job. In addition, our pay philosophy is to align with the median of the comparable market and to be considerate of internal equity comparisons.

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Director, Integrated Asset Planning, the Manager, Fleet Planning is accountable for the strategy, planning, and long-range acquisition plans that shape BC Transit's provincial fleet. You'll lead the development of fleet strategies across all vehicle categories, guiding investment decisions that support service reliability, service expansion, affordability, and environmental sustainability.

You'll be responsible for developing BC Transit's pathway to a zero-emission fleet, leading transition plans that integrate fleet, infrastructure, operations, and information technology requirements across 48 transit systems throughout British Columbia. The phased adoption of emerging fleet technologies is a key focus of the role, requiring strategic thinking, collaboration, and the ability to assess multiple variables.

This role also provides strategic oversight of provincial fleet administration functions, including fleet allocations, fleet moves, asset administration, fleet budgeting, and capital planning inputs. As BC Transit's lead authority on fleet strategy, you'll provide evidence-based recommendations, business cases, and investment analysis to support executive and governance-level decision making.
