Full Job Description
Position Overview:

The Fixed Asset Manager is a key Finance role embedded onsite within Operations to ensure real-time visibility, accuracy, and compliance over capital projects and Fixed Asset activities. While the position reports directly to Finance, it partners closely with Operations leadership, project managers, and site teams to ensure proper authorization, tracking, documentation, and capitalization of project and asset costs.

This role manages the Fixed Asset team in close collaboration with the Fixed Asset Manager in the Finance area and serves as the primary connection between Finance's control environment and Operations' execution environment. The position plays a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, improving processes, strengthening SOX controls, and ensuring accurate and timely capitalization within a fastmoving operational setting. This role will be located on-site at our Fort Worth, Texas location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Build strong cross functional partnerships with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and site leadership.
  • Identify and implement improvements to Fixed Asset processes across Finance and Operations.
  • Oversee the tracking, compiling, and recording of project costs and ensure accurate and timely asset capitalization upon project completion.
  • Manage routine Fixed Asset observations, ensuring ghost assets are identified and properly disposed.
  • Monitor project and asset spend against capital budgets and communicate variances and insights to Finance and Operations leaders.
  • Strengthen internal controls over project authorization, documentation, and spend approval in a SOX compliant environment.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures for project and asset accounting.
  • Lead and direct the Fixed Asset Team, providing oversight, coaching, and performance management.
  • Lead the preparation of Fixed Asset schedules for monthly close and financial reporting.
  • Review ARO calculations and track applicable asset costs.
  • Manage reconciliation of Fixed Asset accounts and preparation of roll forward schedules.
  • Oversee depreciation runs, asset disposals, and project closeout activities.
  • Support enterprise initiatives, reporting needs, and system/process enhancements.
  • Maintain compliance with company reporting and documentation standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in fixed asset accounting, asset management, or related fields, including at least 2 years in leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong attention to detail.
