Full Job Description
Following the implementation of Eaton's Finance Transformation and the launch of the future-state ES-A Finance operating model, this role focuses on:
(1) leading FP&A strategy, driving the planning, forecasting, and analytics
(2) lead continuous improvement, further enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and optimization of the newly implemented finance organization, processes, and technologies across ES-A.

The FP&A Strategy and CI Manager provides strategic and financial leadership, turning data and analytics into insight and action, and champions a culture of change and continuous improvement by applying best practices, benchmarking, and structured problem-solving (e.g., Lean / Six Sigma) to elevate the FP&A function and the broader Business Finance organization. The individual partners across the finance pillars (Operations Finance, Engineering Finance, Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance) and enabling teams (Digital Finance & Innovation) to enable standard work, realize the value targeted by the transformation, and sustain adoption of new tools and technologies.

Job Responsibilities

FP&A Strategy
• Oversee and execute the strategic planning and forecasting process, directing business units toward defined financial targets and ensuring consistency and alignment across the organization.
• Provide reporting, analysis, and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders based on data-driven insights, scenario modeling, and business knowledge.
• Create and deliver compelling presentations and narratives that communicate complex financial information clearly and influence decision-making.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Partner with sales, marketing, engineering, operations, supply chain, and other functions to align financial goals and support strategic growth initiatives.

Continuous Improvement (CI)
• Lead continuous improvement efforts across the newly implemented ES-A Finance operating model, further enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and optimization of FP&A and Business Finance processes following the Finance Transformation.
• Identify, prioritize, and manage a pipeline of process-improvement initiatives; apply Lean / Six Sigma, Kaizen, and structured problem-solving to standardize, streamline, and automate planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
• Drive standard work, playbooks, and benchmarks across the function to drive consistency and scalability in the future-state.
• Support sustained adoption and optimization of finance systems and technologies (e.g., Oracle, Kinaxis, FDH) in partnership with Digital Finance & Innovation (DF&I); convert manual activity into automated, value-added work.
• Define measurement plans and track and report the benefits and value realized from improvement initiatives; remove barriers and communicate progress to finance leadership.
• Serve as a change agent coaching and mentoring finance teams through the transition / interim state to reinforce the new operating model and a continuous-improvement culture.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum ten (10) years of finance experience
• Minimum two (2) years of FP&A experience partnering with business leaders on strategic planning
• Prior experience driving continuous improvement and process-optimization initiatives
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred
• Prior experience supporting finance function undergoing transformation
• Prior leadership experience within a large matrixed or multinational organization in a comparable size/scope role

Skills:
Technical Knowledge
• Strong command of FP&A processes, including planning, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and financial modeling
• Proficiency with financial systems, enterprise planning/analytics tools, and ERP
• Working knowledge of continuous-improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, standard work, and process mapping
• Data and analytics fluency to translate information into insight
• Advanced Excel and presentation skills
• Familiarity with finance transformation, operating-model/shared
Soft Skills
• Strategic thinking and strong business acumen, with the ability to influence and partner with senior leaders
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into compelling narratives
• Change leadership skills and the ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement

The expected annual salary range for this role is $150000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
