Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis - Ontario

The Position:

The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis - Ontario is responsible for managing the Company's budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis processes for Ontario operations. This role is instrumental in delivering timely and accurate financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the quarterly rolling forecast and business decision analysis process, including detailed analysis of operating results against budget and forecast to make informed business decisions;
  • Support the strategic planning and budgeting process, including consolidation and review of operational budgets;
  • Prepare monthly internal management reporting packages, including detailed variance analysis, commentary, and key performance indicators for operational and executive leadership;
  • Analyze key business drivers, including production volumes, cost per tonne/ounce, and operational metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities;
  • Partner closely with operations and site finance to validate assumptions, production plans, and cost inputs as well as identify areas for cost improvement;
  • Collaborate with accounting teams on the monthly close process to ensure alignment between financial results and operational performance;
  • Support preparation of quarterly or ad-hoc reporting materials for senior leadership and the Board of Directors;
  • Provide financial analysis to support cost control initiatives, operational improvement programs, and performance management efforts;
  • Support evaluation of the company's capital allocation practices, including capital deployment against program parameters and hurdle rates, financial modelling, expenditure tracking, and cost analysis;
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support capital allocation and strategic decision-making;
  • Support ongoing governance and enhancement of financial reporting and consolidation systems (e.g., OneStream, SAP, or similar tools);
  • Contribute to improvements in forecasting models, reporting tools, and financial planning processes. Working collectively with corporate development, exploration, mine management, mill operations and other functional areas to provide value added information that can be used to make informed business decisions;
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting consistency, and efficiency across processes; and
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, scenario modelling, special projects and corporate initiatives as required.


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Regional office, located in Timmins, Ontario;
  • Occasional attention to work issues in the evening or on the weekend; and
  • Frequent travel is required.
