Job Title
Manager Facilities & Maintenance

DEW Engineering and Development designs, tests, prototypes, and manufactures, innovative products for global military and commercial clients. We offer growth opportunities, competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits and a supportive environment. We currently have an opening for a Manager Facilities & Maintenance -

Responsible for directing and coordinating activities of personnel engaged in maintenance, repair, and installation, of automated process manufacturing equipment, machines, and tools, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems. Responsible for oversight of all aspects of system operation, installation and maintenance of manufacturing systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Maintenance Management:
  • Oversee maintenance activities across DEW facilities in Ontario and New Brunswick.
  • Develop and sustain Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs for facilities and critical equipment.
  • Lead a 3-5 year reliability roadmap implementing preventive, predictive, and prescriptive maintenance, for all company assets.
  • Track/Report/Optimize:
    • Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
    • Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) on equipment
    • Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) on equipment
    • Preventative Maintenance compliance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead RCA, FMEA and RCM reliability programs.
  • Plan labor, shift coverage, subcontracting and critical spare-parts strategy.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, EHS and IT to improve reliability, schedule adherence and risk controls.


Facilities Planning and Expansion:
  • Assess space utilization and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate building plans, drawings, schedules, budgets and permits.
  • Manage subcontractors and supervise construction, expansion and office reconfiguration work.
  • Ensure project schedules and deadlines are met.

Financial Management:
  • Evaluate supplier and subcontractor costs and manage maintenance budgets, expenditures and purchase requests.

  • Train and guide permanent, contract and subcontractor staff.
  • Ensure staff follows company policies, safety requirements.


Other:

Work collaboratively, communicate openly, follow company policies and safety regulations, and travel as required

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technologist Diploma
  • 8+ years in manufacturing or related industries
  • Experience with CNC machines, laser cutting, welding, industrial paint equipment, forklifts/lifts, HVAC and building repairs.
  • Eligible to obtain Secret clearance.
  • Proven RCM, TPM and Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Experience with Composites processing, ballistic testing equipment or armored vehicle production experience is an asset.

: CAD 994,443.00 - CAD 136,734.00

Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
