What You Will Do:
  • Lead a team of engineering professionals responsible for technical governance, reliability support, and lifecycle management of compressor station facilities across North America.
  • Provide strategic oversight for engineering standards, specifications, procedures, and best practices to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
  • Partner with operations and asset management teams to develop long-term asset strategies, modernization plans, and capital investment priorities.
  • Serve as the senior technical authority and escalation point for complex facility, equipment, and system performance challenges.
  • Lead engineering participation in design reviews, incident investigations, risk assessments, and process safety initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, vendors, and industry partners to advance engineering solutions and emerging technologies.
  • Develop and mentor engineering talent while promoting a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and safety leadership.


Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, including progressive leadership and people management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic, complex engineering projects and initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of compressor station facilities and natural gas transmission systems, including equipment design, operations, reliability, and maintenance.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience developing, coaching, and leading high-performing technical teams.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint.

Preferred:
  • Professional engineering designation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in natural gas transmission systems including gas turbine technology, compressor systems, and turbomachinery performance with a strong understanding of operational, reliability, lifecycle optimization, and safety drivers.
  • Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian natural gas industry regulations and compliance requirements.


Working Conditions:
  • Primary work location: Houston, Texas.
  • Hybrid office-based work environment.
  • Approximately 20% travel required to support operations, projects, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Occasional overtime, holiday, or extended work hours may be necessary to meet business needs.
  • Role requires prolonged periods of computer-based work, along with occasional standing, walking, and light lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups, and influence decisions in a complex operational environment.


Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
